Oasis singer-songwriter Liam Gallagher says he met One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson while crowd surfing and "hugged him and squeezed his ass".

The former Oasis frontman took to Twitter on Wednesday (August 4) to praise his newfound "love and respect from surfers".

He wrote: "I have a new love and respect for surfers who see some crazy *** doing their thing and they're beasts like hardcore LG x."

The tweet prompted many reactions from fans with one asking: "Have you met Louis Tomlinson yet? We need pictures of Liam."

The singer responded by saying, "I'm not taking pictures of him as a top guy."

Another fan asked him: "Are you going to give him the finger and tell him to fuck? That's his dream, you know?"

To which Liam replied: "I couldn't bribe her and pinch her ass."

This sparked outrage from fans who found his comments amusing. One person wrote: "Still laughing so hard at this, I love him so much he's so funny. Who does Twitter better than Liam Gallagher?"

One said on Twitter: "Bro her humor is golden. I know Louis had a great time with him."

While a third wrote: "Liam Gallagher is chaotic energy where I live, him and Louis in the same room... Perfect chaos."

However, Louis Tomlinson's fans seem to be very jealous.

One wrote: "Keep something for yourself so it doesn't ruin my day!"

Another said: "Alexa game, it must be me." A third wrote: "so jealous."

While a fourth commented: "Liam is living all our dreams."

Liam recently admitted that he believes in the power of positive thinking and that you should trust God with important life decisions.

On his most important life lesson, he asked, "Don't take yourself too seriously and trust him."

Twice-divorced Liam - who is married to Patsy Kensit and Nicole Appleton - also believes in the power of "positive" thinking and how it can help you get through bad times.

He said: "I'm positive-minded and I really believe that everything will pass, so if you're having a bad day, it's definitely not for long."
